A woman's home is her sanctuary. The richness
of the design, the colors, the arrangement of the furniture,
the fabrics, textures and tones of a room, should all work
together to create her very own special place. If nowhere
else, a woman's bedroom should be her luxurious getaway.

All it takes are a few simple touches and after all, you
absolutely deserve for your bedroom and your entire home,
to be your haven, particularly because of all the
responsibilities you have to juggle on a regular and consistent
basis. With chores, errands, bills, family obligations and
ministry commitments, you've got 101 things demanding
your attention all at one time.

And
you're expected to take it all on gracefully, without
missing a beat. Aren't you entitled to a break every once in a
while?

Well, although you may not get as much rest as you want,
when the opportunity comes around, you want to make sure
everything is conducive to you being able to fully relax.
Could it be time to redo your bedroom?

Whether rich or poor; married or single; urban or country;
we all love a feeling of peace and serenity in our homes. After
a long hard day, there's nothing like plopping down on a soft
bed,  snuggling up in your favorite spot with your Bible, a

good Christian novel or inspirational book, a laptop, something warm to drink,
maybe some music, or just watching a good Lifetime movie, or simply kicking
back and lying in silence. It feels so wonderful... that is, if your environment has
been optimized for relaxation.

Several weeks ago, 36 year old Jeanette Summers  from Savannah, Georgia, got
the itch to make her home environment more relaxing. "I was tired of coming
home to a house that felt cold and unmanaged," she said.  "I didn't quite know
where to start, so I picked up a few home improvement magazines, googled
information on design tips, and went for it."

The end result?

Jeanette took about 3 weeks to make the changes and now, she reports that her
home feels much more peaceful. Though she's an organizer by trade and is a
stickler about keeping things neat and orderly, she had never taken the time out
to make her home environment more relaxation-friendly since purchasing it five
years earlier.

But now, Jeanette's room is  a place where she can finally take a load off, because
of a few simple modifications like re-doing the paint job, taking her bedroom
from an unflattering floral green color to a very warm taupe;  adding nice soft,
matted gold linen currents to her windows to go above her standard mini blinds;
purchasing a small table with a cherry-wood finish as a decorative showpiece in
her  room where she placed a beautiful silk flower arrangement and a couple of
her favorite magazines to read; purchasing a printed area rug for added warmth
and richness; adding a few framed pictures to the wall, along with three wall
sconces for visual interest; and adding a very attractive vintage-looking trunk to
the foot of her bed with a chenille throw over the top of it and the trunk doubles
as a great, roomy storage unit.

"For under 300 bucks, I completely transformed my room," and I'm so excited
says Jeanette. So... what are you waiting for? Make your room a haven too!
