No, the Clark-Sheards are not forming their own
group and recording an album together. Uh, we
think the legendary Clark Sisters have the group
thing down cold. But, when it comes to preaching,
singing, producing and launching business
ventures, it seems that it's all contained inside one
family.
This became abundantly clear when, back in 2009,
Karen and husband, J Drew took on new roles as
music business executives, launching their new
label, Karew Records, an imprint of EMI Gospel.
This latest venture is designed to give Karen more
control of her musical future. She is the President,
hubby is the CEO/CFO, J Drew II and Kierra are
both VP's. Yep, this is definitely a family affair.
The label's first release was "The Clark Sisters
Family Christmas" featuring J. Moss, Kierra "KiKi"
Sheard, Bill Moss, Jr. and J. Drew Sheard II. The
second release from the label will be none other
than Karen's fifth solo album entitled All In One,
currently slated for an April 2010 release.
