WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR EEW Magazine has a full-time staff of editors and columnists that provide the core articles, feature interviews, and other special interest stories. However, feel free to submit your content to us in order to maximize your exposure with our large base of readers. NOTE: Content submitted to EEW Magazine will not be compensated.
Writers interested in submitting content should choose from the following topics:
Motivational/Inspirational Articles surrounding achievement, belief in oneself, perseverance, determination, discipline. The focus must be to encourage the reader to aim higher by applying solid principles.
Love/Relationships Articles inspiring women to wait on God with joy, endure rocky relationship seasons with a positive attitude, and/or to love oneself first in order to prepare to give and receive love. Articles for married couples are also accepted.
Political/Current Events Articles appealing to the politically and socially conscious reader. Though unbiased in regards to unique political and social perspectives, EEW Magazine is a Barack Obama Supporter, and a tireless advocate of African American men and women seeking to make positive changes in the world.
Compelling Human Interest Stories/Testimonies Articles about everyday women who have overcome great obstacles, and as a result, are able to inspire other women to hold on through adversity.
Business/Finance Articles offering solid steps to relieving debt, purchasing a home, investing, saving, establishing and growing a business, networking, and other business & finance related material.

EEW EDITORIAL CALENDAR EEW Magazine is a bi-monthly online magazine; A new issue is made available six (6) times per year and is typically published on the 1st Monday of the month, unless scheduling changes are made by administrative staff. WE DO NOT RUN A THEME-BASED PUBLICATION. EEW Magazine focuses on individual topics that fall under the following categories:

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES We accept only the highest quality content, as we have built a reputation for professional presentation and practical information. We reserve the right to refuse any information that is poorly written or does not fit the overall style and focus of EEW.
Please send all article submissions to submissions@eewmagazine.com. We endeavor to respond to all submissions promptly, but depending upon the volume of articles we receive, it may not always be possible to do so. We cannot guarantee that we will use all articles we are given, but we do read each and every one. If we elect to feature your work, you will be notified via the email address from which you sent your submission, unless you provide an alternate contact email.
Please be patient. *Allow up to (12) twelve weeks for the review of your submission. When you send us your work, please use a subject line that says, “Article Submission” plus the appropriate category. Please include a relevant bio and at least two writing samples to be considered for inclusion in the online magazine. Again, if you are not a part of our full time editorial team, we do not offer compensation for article submissions, but you will be given full credit and invaluable exposure for your work.
Submissions to EEW must be between 800 words to 1,500 words. *Please remember to make a notation at the beginning of the article body if your article falls outside of our standard word count.
Please do not be offended if your work is not chosen. If we have not contacted you within the standard 12-week period you may safely assume that your work was not selected to be featured in EEW Magazine. Occasionally, due to the high volume of submissions, EEW's editorial staff will take a longer time to review your work. If you desire, you may send a follow-up email after the standard 12-week period has expired to submissions@eewmagazine.com with questions about the status of your submission.
RIGHTS AND REGULATIONS We request one-time electronic rights and the right to keep chosen submissions in archive. By submitting an article to Empowering Everyday Women, you hereby grant us permission to publish and edit it, for length and content, as necessary, without monetary compensation on www.eewmagazine.com. Should your article be published on our site, in return, we will also publish your byline containing your contact information and a link to your website that will increase traffic and exposure for you.
Furthermore, you grant permission for your article to be reprinted in our various newsletters, as long as your bio and link remain completely intact. This allows for promotion of your writing, as well as, promotion for your website. By submitting your contribution, you represent that you are its author or creator, or that you are submitting it with the permission of its author or creator, who has agreed to these terms and conditions. Top 5 Things NOT to Do When Submitting Your Work for Consideration
1.) Do not send promotional content. Any articles that serve to overtly promote you, your book, event, business, ministry, product or service, while providing minimal benefit to the reader, will not be accepted.
2.) Do not embed links inside your article. They will be removed. You are only allowed one link in your byline, which is at the bottom of your article.
3.) Do not submit plagiarized work, otherwise any future submissions from you will be automatically rejected.
4.) Do not “code” your article using HTML tags. Our team of web editors will format and post your article.
5.) Do not submit logos or other graphics. They will not be posted. If you wish to advertise on eewmagazine.com, visit our advertising page to request a media kit. *You may submit a high-resolution photo (72 dpi) along with your article. However, we cannot guarantee photo usage.
