You’ve been telling yourself, I’m going to lose some weight and get healthier this summer! Yes you are.
EEW Magazine believes in you, which is why we’re helping you live that commitment by passing along a little
advice we picked up from fab Christian media personality, Sherri Shepherd.

The co-host of ABC’s “The View” and author of
Plan D: How to Lose Weight and Beat Diabetes (Even If You
Don't Have It)
, says all you have to do is make simple lifestyle changes to get in better shape.

So stop telling yourself it’s harder than it is.

Now, there are two areas you’re going to have to focus on: exercising and eating healthier, which is the
advice Sherri doled out during her
recent interview on "The Rickey Smiley Morning Show."

“You know, you have to incorporate more fruits and vegetables and I mean when I say vegetables, not
smothered with Velveeta cheese. It’s vegetables,” she said, condemning the practice of loading would-be
healthy foods with bad-for-you toppings.

It’s like the salad with loads of dressing, bacon bits, croutons and calorie-laden add-ons. Don’t do it. No
extras.

“And I know it’s hard, because you’ll never go through a heartbreak going, ‘Ooh, my gosh, he done broke
my heart. I need some broccoli right away!’”

Sherri can say that again.
Haagen-Dazs or Perry’s anyone?

She continued, “I know it doesn’t sound good, but you just have to change your relationship. Eat more fruits
and vegetables…Just little changes every day make all the difference. Don’t get all overwhelmed with
everything you gotta do, you know, it’s a lifestyle change.”

Finally, the wife, mom, and actress capped off her awesome get-fit tips with two additional suggestions.
First, cut down on sodas and sweet drinks. Lastly, increase your water intake.

Totally doable, right?
