CeCe Winans Rejoicing in the Wake of Close Friend Whitney
Houston’s Death
by EEW Magazine Entertainment Editors
Iconic singer Whitney Houston’s passing at 48 was a terrible shock and painful loss for so many—
particularly those close to her like gospel singer CeCe Winans. Although Winans classified this period
of mourning as a “rough time” on her Twitter page, her heart is now rejoicing because the work of the
Lord is being done.

In death, Whitney Houston managed to bring millions of people from around the world to New
Jersey for a powerful church service. “I praise God that He is able to take what the enemy meant for
evil and turn it into good,” Winans tweeted, focusing on the positive aspects of such a terrible
tragedy. She continued, “The prayers of the righteous availeth much! The service was heavenly! The
Holy Spirit made sure God was glorified. Thank you Jesus!”

The gospel singer with the gorgeous 100-watt smile sang a beautiful rendition of “Don’t Cry for Me,”
and seems to be heeding the lyrics. Instead of sulking and being depressed over the loss of her close
friend “Nippy,” Winans is taking this occasion to praise God and to advise the Body of Christ.

“When the Body of Christ works together it's a beautiful and powerful thing! I need you and you need
me. :-)” she wrote. “God needs us to build His kingdom everyday! Remember, a wise person builds
but a foolish person tears down! Let's build up someone today and have fun doing it! :-)”

What a beautiful spirit shining through CeCe Winans—a woman of great wisdom.
