In front of a crowd of about 2,600 at the
packed Washington Hilton ballroom,
President Barack Obama got the last laugh
at this year's White House Correspon-
dents' Association dinner on the evening
of Saturday, April 30.
He poked fun at many of his detractors
who have been vocal in their public
criticisms of his policies and leadership.
But the most pointed zings were aimed at
his biggest critic, wealthy businessman,
Donald Trump.
Just days after releasing his long form
birth certificate after Trump repeatedly
blasted the president, Obama masterfully
lampooned Trump about his lack of
qualifications to make serious decisions.

birth certificate)

Commander In Chief gets Big Laughs as he Addresses Detractors at White
House Correspondent's Dinner

Said Obama of Trump:
"Now, he can focus on more important matters like, did we fake the moon landing? What
really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac?" Obama said, referring to
Neil Armstrong's 1969 walk on the moon, the alleged UFO crash in New Mexico and the
deaths of rappers Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur."
Though Trump barely cracked a smile during the president's hilariously scathing speech--he was
clearly embarrassed, as he should be--the audience roared with laughter and thunderously
applauded.
On Fox and Friends Sunday, Trump responded to his unexpected presidential roasting. He said, "I
didn't know that I'd be virtually the sole focus. I guess when you're leading in the polls that sort of
thing tends to happen. You raise to a certain level in the polls and boy does the world come after
you. But I was certainly in a certain way having a good time listening. I don't think the American
people are having a good time with $5 gas ... I was thinking to myself as they were doing this, 'You
know, the American people are really suffering and we're all having fun at a gala.'"
It seems that Donald Trump's ego may be just a bit bruised.
