Juanita Bynum is seeking to re-brand her
ministry, again. The old site, which was
housed at
JuanitaBynum.com, has been
taken down and replaced with a simple
message:
"Dr. Juanita Bynum's New Site
coming Soon."
Bynum is set to roll out a
new website this year, which will represent
the current focus of her brand  and all its
many facets.  But her online brand isn't the
only thing the  52-year-old is seeking to
redefine.

Bynum, who was recently diagnosed with
diabetes, has reportedly shed 30 pounds
and is well on her way to reaching her goal
weight of 135 pounds.  According to the
singer, her slimmer frame can be
attributed to healthier eating, Bikram
yoga, weight training, spin class,  treadmill
walking, and other exercises.

Now the 5-foot-4-inch fitness guru in the
Juanita Bynum Re-Branding Her Ministry with New Site
The Author, Speaker, and Singer Transforming her Body and Brand
making is gearing up to release her first ever weight loss book. "All that I had gone through, I felt
like it was an opportunity to recreate myself," she said of her new healthy lifestyle in an  interview
with
AOL Black Voices.

It is well-documented that Juanita Bynum has gone through a series of  struggles since her 2007
public altercation with ex-husband Thomas weeks III , that ended the couple's marriage. After the
dramatic turn of events, Bynum tried to regain her footing by exploring new outlets.

Almost immediately, she embraced the limelight, appearing on the cover of ESSENCE magazine
and speaking at the ESSENCE Music Festival; making guest TV appearances on Divorce Court and
Lincoln Heights which was canceled in January 2010 ; and starring in independent films like
Mama
I Want to Sing.
Despite the fact that the acceptance of all these opportunities effectively elevated
her profile, they also isolated Bynum from her core base of supporters, and  destabilized her once
secure ministry platform.

In the Summer of July 2010, Bynum was forced to cancel her much-hyped
No More Sheets singles
conference due to low registration. It is ironic that the sermon of the same name originally
catapulted her, with the help of Bishop TD Jakes, to the most elite levels of public ministry.

Although Bynum, who is now pastoring her own church, still accepts preaching engagements,  the
legally embattled singer's ministry has been overshadowed by her music partnership with
MatthewKnowles' Music World Gospel label. Last year, Bynum was embroiled in a copyright
lawsuit over  the Music World release of her single, Soul Cry (Oh, oh, oh). Former Def Jam Vice
President of A&R, J.E. Jones, claims Bynum stole the song which was allegedly written and
produced by him.

Perhaps this new weight loss venture and remaking of her online brand will help reinvigorate
Bynum's ministry, and chart a new, productive course for her.
