“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
(Ecclesiastes 3:1) The season you are currently in is yours. It is yours, because it is the one that I
ordained for you at this particular moment, and I am perfect in all of my ways. My blessings,
great or small, are not indicative of a particular season; they are predicated upon my plan for
your life. You shall have what I ordained you to have at the set time I have put in place for you.
The only way to not be in your season is to be outside of my will. Winter, spring, summer,
fall…my blessings are upon them all. Know your season, embrace your season, be blessed in your
season.”
God said it, and that settled it.
It greatly lifted my spirit to know that I was not out of season, but I am exactly in the place God
wants me to be. I am being amazingly blessed in my quiet season, not with material things, but with
great wisdom. God has shown me that money, houses, cars, and all the other things that we relate
to being “in your season” is not what being in season is all about. Sure that’s a great place to be, but
to me that’s all just an added bonus. It’s about being in tune with God, so that whatever season you
are in can be a blessing to your life.
You may be in a season of hardship; a season of silence; a season of separation; a season of
struggle, and you don’t see yourself being blessed like those around you, know that God has not
forsaken you. He is blessing you even during your driest, quietest seasons. It may not be through
tangible things, but He is pouring endurance, strength, tenacity, courage, wisdom, joy, peace, and
purpose into your life. Whether you see it or not, you are blessed right where you are.
Don’t allow circumstances or anything else to make you feel like you are in an off-season with God,
because as long as you are connected to Him, you are in the exact place He wants you. And, as
long as, you are where He wants you to be, His favor and blessings will always be upon your life.
Whatever your season, embrace it; it’s yours.

You see, lately I’ve been in a quiet season. God
has been silent about some things I have before
Him. No really major events, besides preparing
for a new baby, are happening in my life. I haven’t
recently walked through any new open doors. My
bank account hasn’t miraculously gone into
overflow. My husband and I have not moved into
our dream home. And some professional goals I
have, remain unmet for now.
While there are no major catastrophes to speak
of, thank God, this isn't necessarily feeling like the
type season the man of God preached about.
So recently, I asked God why it wasn’t my
season. Here’s what God had to say:

“Hi-five your neighbor and tell ‘em IT’S YOUR SEASON!” My neighbor and I slapped palms,
shouted those three words to one another, and she went into a crazy praise as the preacher
proclaimed how God’s spectacular blessings were about to pour into each of our lives. The
preacher shouted, “Millions are coming to you! Houses are being built for you! You’re about to
drive what you wanna drive! It’s your season!” The audience went into a Holy Ghost fit!!
I guess my statue-like posture offended my neighbor, because she looked at me strangely and
said, “Girl what’s wrong with you? You better praise God for your millions!” I just flashed her a
smile, and proceeded to clap my hands. Now, I’m usually the first to praise God over an It’s-your-
season word, but something was different this time. I didn’t really feel like it was my season – at
least not for those things the preacher proclaimed. And if I had to be in that season to receive
those things, then did that mean I was in the wrong season for receiving God’s “mega” blessings?
Needless to say, I left that church service feeling a bit less than blessed, and wondering was I
really in an off-season for God to pour into my life.
